Garlic and Herb Marinara Sauce
Ingredients:
Directions:
1. Mash your blanched or canned tomatoes in a bowl until broken down
2. In a shallow skillet, heat your olive oil.
3. Add onion and garlic and allow to cook
4. Add the tomatoes, sugar, salt and chili powder
5. Allow to simmer for about 30 minutes
6. Stir in you chopped fresh herbs and allow to simmer for another 3 mins
7. Serve as desired and enjoy!
- 8 medium tomatoes, blanched or canned
- 1/4 cup yellow onion, diced
- 3 cloves fresh garlic
- 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. mashed sundried tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
- 2 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of chili powder
- 8 basil leaves, chopped
- 1/4 tsp fresh chopped oregano
- 1/4 tsp fresh chopped thyme
- 3 tsp fresh chopped parsley
