OUR MISSION:
Jones Garden Inc. is nonprofit organization seeking to make a difference in local communities by promoting nutritious eating and the appreciation of natural beauty through the construction of affordable, easily accessible, and aesthetically pleasing community gardens. We hope to reduce the access and availability barriers to fresh, affordable food that many families face on a daily basis while also encouraging communities to be proactive and live sustainably.

COMMUNITY GARDENS To target food insecurity

Food deserts plague cities all over the country. When full service grocery stores are not easily available for residents to purchase fresh produce, families are forced to consume less nutritious food options. Jones Garden seeks to reduce disparities related to food access with the creation of easily accessible community
vegetable gardens.

Aesthetic TransformationS

Jones Garden targets abandoned, forgotten, and overlooked areas within local communities to brighten up and add a natural, creative touch. Low income areas tend to be burdened with these types of eyesores more so than higher income areas. We aspire to create areas that invite people to come outdoors and enjoy the natural world around them.

Educating communities about the benefits of growing one's own food is important to Jones Garden's mission. We want to build strength and self-efficacy within local communities by encouraging community members to get involved and engage in our mission. We want to be proactive now so that the next generation can have a better future.
